Net Fatality
In this paper for Virgin Media O2, Stephen Howard argues that net neutrality rules harm innovation, investment and growth. Reform could unleash an array of valuable new services, including helping agentic AI reach its full potential. Additionally, it would support the deployment of advanced 5G network infrastructure that might otherwise be difficult to fund, so bringing significant benefits to the broader economy. The risk associated with such reform is very minor, while the risk of doing nothing (not least to the UK's sovereign autonomy) is considerable.
